The Bachelor star Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Lauren Burnham, now Luyendyk, hosted a baby shower to celebrate the impending arrival of their baby girl. It was full of surprises for guests, including an up close and personal view of their unborn child.

On Saturday, the soon to be first-time parents spent the day showering each other and guests with love, as they celebrated their daughter in style. The couple shared various photos to chronical the day on social media. Those in attendance were treated to a waffle bar, fresh fruit, and a cake with rainbow sprinkles.

Keeping in line with traditional baby showers, guests also played a variety of games. Male guests had to drink milk out of baby bottles, while the Luyendyk’s were treated to a contest to find out who would be better at various activities when it comes to parenthood. One of the questions the couple had to answer was “Who will be better at singing lullabies?”

Unlike most baby showers though, Arie and Lauren had one special moment they wanted to share with their guests. The couple decided to have an ultrasound set up in their living room, so all of those they love could see baby girl Luyendyk.

The racecar driver also poked fun at how they met. Fans know he was The Bachelor in the 22nd season of the hit ABC show. She won his heart over 25 other women, well after he initially chose Becca K. and then realized Lauren was truly the love of his life.

At the shower, Arie held up a white onesie for their daughter which said, “Can I steal Daddy for a sec?!” in pink writing with a rose underneath it. Lauren quickly let her followers know she had vetoed the outfit. She did not find as much humor in it as her husband did.

“I was mid-sentence saying, ‘absolutely not.” Guess I still have a little PTSD,” she wrote in her Instagram story.

Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Lauren Burnham are anxiously awaiting the arrival of their daughter. In the meantime, they did some celebrating in honor of the little one at a baby shower this weekend. Although men don’t generally attend these events, the proud papa did not want to miss out. He was right by his wife’s side as they opened gifts and played games together.
