Drake is a Canadian actor and rapper with an estimated net worth of $75 million. Born on October 24, 1986, he is the son of Sandi and Dennis Graham. His mother is a teacher and his father a drummer with a band. His mother is Canadian, but his father is actually from Tennessee. He grew up Jewish, attending a Jewish school in Canada and spending much of his time with Jewish friends and family. He was a raised by his mother, primarily, after the divorce of his parents when he was only 5. He was hired to play a role by the name of Jimmy Brooks on a television show called Degrassi: The Next Generation. It was a good job for him at his age, but Canadian television actors make less than teachers according to Drake, so it was not a lot of money. He was on the show for several seasons, and he also decided he wanted to pursue a musical career. In 2006, he released his first mixtape. It featured some famous faces such as Lupe Fiasco and even Trey Songz, though they weren’t famous yet. He spent a lot of time working on his music, but it was not until 2010 when his first album dropped. From there, his fame rose significantly and he began to see success almost everywhere he went.
Since, he has released four albums, the most recent in January 2016. His albums have been very successful, and he even managed to break a few records with a mixtape he released in 2015. He was the first rapper in over 11 years to end up with two number ones on the Billboard Hot Rap Songs chart since Jay-Z had done the same thing in 2004.
Drake is primarily a rapper now, and he collaborates often with other musicians. The vast majority of his income is from his music, and he has no problem with the fact that he is making money, taking time to do this thing and taking care of his family.
