Liam Gallagher is the first artist to be announced to play at both the Leeds and Reading Festivals next year after self-confirming he would be performing at both events.

The singer let the news of his performance slip when he took to his twitter today to announce the news to his excited fans. Following Gallagher’s tweet, the festivals’ social media accounts confirmed the news, writing, “Nice one @liamgallagher … kept that quiet.”

Leeds and Reading will take place between Friday 28th August and Sunday 30th August 2020, which will fall on the bank holiday weekend. There are more big names set to be announced in the coming weeks. Tickets for the festival are expected to sell out quickly and are currently on sale now and are available for purchase on the Reading and Leeds Festival website.

Liam Gallagher is extremely popular with his fans and this year has been a big year for him. Previously, Leeds and Reading have seen some huge names such as Eminem, Muse, Metallica, The Cure, Paramore and Kasabian on their lineups.

The former Oasis band member is coming to the end of his current tour. The news of Gallagher being a headliner at the festivals was announced very shortly after his tickets to his homecoming gig at Manchester’s Heaton Park on 12th June 2020 sold out almost instantly. It certainly looks like next year is going to be a big one for Gallagher and we can’t wait to see what else he has up his sleeve for fans.
