After a turbulent 2017 which saw them lose their recording home at Dot Records after the label was forced to close and also struggles with mental health, Maddie and Tae are back and sounding better than ever.

Their new single ‘Friends Don’t‘ is their first new music in two years and comes after they signed to Mercury Nashville via the Universal Music Group. With a new label and new sound the best friends have re-found their confidence and are ready once again to take on the charts.

The track is confessional soaring power ballad which was written by Maddie and Tae along with renowned songwriters Justin Ebach and Jon Nite and tells the story of a budding friendship with the potential to become much, much more. Along with fantastic lyrics the brilliant release features progressive acoustic-guitar undertones and a blood-pumping, toe-tapping chorus.

The single is the first to be lifted off the duo’s upcoming sophomore album which is due for release later this year. Speaking about their new music, one half of the duo Maddie Marlow says: “We have a big story to tell on this album, and ‘Friends Don’t’ is the beginning of it all,”

‘Friends Don’t’ is available to download now and is set to impact radio from May 14th! Make sure you follow the girls on Twitter @MaddieandTae to keep up to date with all their latest music and tour news.
