Following an automobile accident on Tuesday night, a student from Roane County High School   Blazer Beaumia passed away, the school announced on Facebook.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol said that four minors were involved in the collision.

“We are devastated to hear of the horrible car accident that took one of our kids’ lives. We send our sympathies to the student’s family, friends, and the whole school community. To assist our students and staff, counselors will be available all throughout this week and in the days to come, according to a news release from RCHS.

A 17-year-old male driver was traveling east on Swan Pond Circle close to Lake Shore Drive when he swerved to avoid hitting another car, according to a preliminary report from the THP. Then, it veered to the right side of the street and collided with a tree.

It reportedly spun out and came to a rest in the eastbound lane after that. They said that the other vehicle kept moving west without colliding with the car.

A 15-year-old boy was believed to have perished in the collision. They added that the 17-year-old driver was unharmed, but two 16-year-old guys suffered injuries.
