Peter Foley is a longtime coach of the snowboard cross-program and founding coach of the US snowboard team in 1994.
The Coach of the Year 2021 has been in a temporary suspension after the allegations of sexual misconduct has been placed against him.

The allegations against Peter Foley were initially made by retired 2010 Olympian Callan Chythlook-Sifsof.
Foley was accused to take the naked pictures of the female athletes. While he was issued a temporary suspension by the U.S center for SafeSport, more victims has opened up about the assault done by the snowboard coach.
One of the victims has asked to keep her name remain confidential as she provided the details of the assault when she was 19. The trainee at the US Training camp, she was assaulted by the coach when she was asleep.
Another witness revealed that Peter tried to force into the athletes room.

Lindsey Sine Nikola, the victim of Peter Foley’s sexual assault, is a former communication department worker at US Ski and Snowboard.
She opened up about the assault and filed the report alleging Foley to have coerced her in taking nude pictures and later sexually assault her at the World Cup Ski race in December 2008.
In her statement with ESPN, Nikola believed that the nude photos were the tool to keep the victim quiet.
She left the job a year after she was assaulted.
